KCAT - Fall 2011

This fall, the Kennedy Advancement office completed a tour of Missouri college and university campuses to visit Kennedy alumni who are students and alumnni who live in area.  Jessica Gonzalez, Director of Alumni Relations, who named the visits KCAT for Kennedy Catholic Alumni Tour, was accompanied by Terry Cochran, Kennedy President, and Abby Cole, Director of Advancement.  The purpose of the KCAT is to keep in touch with our recent graduates and to reconnect with Kennedy alumni throughout the state.

Thanksgiving Alumni Happy Hour 

On Nov. 25, alumni from the 05, 03, 86, 72 and 2010 stopped by Kennedy to enjoy a much needed snack and drink after tackling Black Friday shopping!  

The Advancement and Alumni Relations office sponsored a “Thanksgiving Alumni Happy Hour” for alums where they go to meet and reconnect with friends and Kennedy staff that included Abby Cole, Director of Advancement, Jessica Gonzalez, Director of Alumni Relations and Terry Cochran, President. We look forward to start a new tradition where our alums and friends can come “home” for the Holidays each year!

2011 Kennedy Classic Golf Tournament

The Landings at the Spirit Golf Club

 The annual Kennedy Classic Golf Tournament was great day!  Golfers enjoyed 18 holes of golf followed by dinner.  The mission of the Kennedy Classic Golf Tournament is to bring alumni, parents, students and friends of Kennedy together for stewardship and fraternity.  Proceeds from the tournament strengthen Kennedy, assist in annual operating costs, and provide tuition assistance, so that all students who seek a Catholic education, regardless of financial ability, have access to a faith-based education.

3rd Annual Alumni Basketball Game - Basketballpalooza

Friday, February 25, 2011, Kennedy Catholic hosted a mega event called "Basketballpalooza".  This event embraces our past, our present, and our future as it included alumns, current students, and future students.  Our future students, those accepted to the Class of 2015, joined us for the varsity game followed by an ice cream social in the library.  It was Senior night, so the senior girls' basketball team members, senior cheerleaders, and senior dance team members were honored during the varsity game.

 After the varsity game, the 3rd Annual Alumni Basketball game was played.  Thirty alum basketball players played a spirited game in which nobody was hurt!  The green team beat the gold team by a small margin, and a good time was had by all.  After the game, the players, other alums, and alum families enjoyed a social hour in the library.  We celebrated 41 years of Kennedy basketball with a nostalgic PowerPoint in the Commons, and many shared reminiscences.
